With a Natural Burial, the body is returned to nature with minimal disturbance to the land and minimal impact to the environment. The body is prepared without chemical preservative and a simple bio-degradable coffin is used. Native vegetation is planted over or near the grave in place of a conventional cemetery monument. Unlike a normal grave which can accommodate up to 3 people, a natural gravesite only accommodates one person. Natural Burials are only held at Fremantle Cemetery or Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park.
